Group Executive
The management of the Group is the responsibility of the Group Executive Committee and its membership is made up of parents and supporters appointed at our Annual General Meeting, and the Senior Scouters. The major areas of responsibility are Finance, Communications, and Property along with fund-raising activities.
It is hoped that all parents will serve on this committee during their child’s membership of the 4th Littlehampton Scout Group as all of the above areas, especially fund raising, are crucial to us if we are to continue to provide Scouting for all children who wish to join.
Amongst other matters, the Committee is responsible for the upkeep of the Group's own headquarters and providing new equipment. The Group receives no outside financial help and your support of the Committee's activities is vital for the continued well-being of the Group. We do have a Pre School Group who rent the Hall which provides some income.
We are fortunate to have control of our own headquarters, but like any large building there are always maintenance tasks that need help. The more support the Group receives from parents, the more facilities and activities can be provided for the youngsters.
Any of the Leaders, the Chairman or Committee Members will advise on how you can help.
The Group Scout Leader and Group Executive Committee are always anxious to hear from any parent willing to spare the time to help regularly with the running of the Beaver Colony, Cub Pack or Scout Troop. Previous Scouting experience is not necessary as training can be given. Without sufficient Leaders the Group cannot function and prosper. We would be happy to see you as a member of the Executive or as a helper for fund-raising and social activities.
